2.DESCRIPTION
Whereas today’s global economy crisis becomes a great concern also for biotech industries and business, Japan biotech keeps its pace to grow and expand and Japan pharmas continue to enforce their global alliances and develop their business more globally.
Japan biotech keeps the number two position in the world, for example, in market size, number of firms, R&D expenditure, patent applications and so on.
Japan pharmas play actively more and more for outreach, alliance and collaboration in the global arena.
The time to reap the harvest from the cutting-edge life science and biotechnology in Japan has come and recently Japan bio-firms succeeding in research alliances increase in number.
The keynote lecture overview the current status of Japan biotech, the recent trend of Japan pharmas’ global business and the unexploited opportunities for the collaboration and alliance with Japan biotech and pharma.
The case-study presentation illustrates excellent biotech-firms in Japan with the latest successful examples of research alliances and collaborations.
